TraniWreck is the legendary, award winning, cabaret variety show featuring genderbending irreverence; Drag, Burlesque, Aerials and Performance Art. Since 2004, TraniWreck has been twisting the status quo and creating space for the spectacular on the stage and in the audience. Johnny Blazes and the Pretty Boys have been given the fabulous honor of playing with Walter Sickert & the Army of Broken Toys and Emperor Norton’s Stationary Marching Band at the Hynes Convention Center tonight as part of the First Night festivities! We’re playing in the main auditorium on the second floor, and the fun will go on for hours, from 7:30 – 11 pm.

Johnny Blazes and the Pretty Boys go on at 8 pm, so don’t be late!

Wreckage is TraniWreck’s twisted spawn! Wreckage is a contest show featuring all of your TraniWreck favorites, along with new performers taking the stage who compete for cash and prizes.

Everyone has some kind of wacky talent. Everyone needs some cash at the end of the year. Get your act together and come join us, you could be crowned Boston’s Biggest Wreck 2011 — and win your share of $200 in cash and prizes!

We are looking for, encourage, and welcome all genres of performance (music, drag, spoken word, circus arts, dance, aerials, comedy, burlesque…) from all genders of people, whether straight or queer.

Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School is the life drawing session you dreamed of in your deviously creative art school head. Hot models with crazy costumes, sometimes genderbending antics, poses that keep your interest for hours, nice folks around you, drinks, and it’s cheap. The models talk and keep you entertained, there’s good music, you could win prizes for good and bad art! You don’t have to be a good artist, or someone who draws everyday. Dr. Sketchy’s is a great place to start back up with your practice, or to try to pick up a new creative outlet.

Have you ever had déjà vu? Have you happened to notice repeatedly when your clock reads 11:11? Have you watched “12 Monkeys,” “Time Bandits,” or the over-the-top romantic drama “Somewhere In Time” more times than you can count? Are you an H.G. Wells fan? Do you feel like you’re from another time?

Well, here’s a chance to dress up as a visitor from any time in the past or the future for the Time Travelers Costume Ball. This once-in-a-century event, hosted by gender-bending (and time-bending) performer, Johnny Blazes, will be packed with entertainment from the fourth dimension including:

• Art-soul band, What Time Is It, Mr. Fox?
• Steampunk stars, Emperor Norton’s Stationary Marching Band
• Soul/funk group, Johnny Blazes and the Pretty Boys
• Kielbasia, the accordion-playing Polish lunch lady
• Comedian/performance artist, Evan O’Television
• Lolli Hoops and her speed of light hula hoop
