How weaksauce was your high school prom? Dishing out hundreds of bucks for a limo to puke in at the end of the night, the bad DJ playing every obscure Venga Boys song, no one wanting to be the first one on the dance floor, your dream date turning you down and then showing up with some tool, the general awkward sensation of being a teenager…

Don’t you wish you could have another go, except with live music that you love, and real cocktails instead of fruit punch and SoCo?

Now’s your chance! Tomorrow night, Friday June 14, ORG: Prom gives you the chance to make peace with your inner high schooler and turn this bizarre American tradition into the party you also wished it had been.

Org goes formal in this one-night event, produced by Singer Mali (of Jaggery). Local performers revisit the proms of their past and transform this teenage rite-of-passage via music, dance, storytelling, and film. Witness Oberon transformed into a high school gymnasium, complete with prom photobooth, Prom Queen & King ballot casting and voting, and plenty of other opportunities for awkwardness and excess. Formal ~ and creative ~ attire highly encouraged, as are dates (we dare you to ask out that special someone this time around). Audience participation is a given, so bring your dancing shoes.

Greek mythology meets burlesque, puppetry, and a modern Americana score in the latest original piece from acclaimed ensemble Liars & Believers, creators of last year’s gritty hit, 28 Seeds. Minnie’s Menagerie, a peculiar Depression-era sideshow, is raking it in with the help of Daedalus’s whimsical technology. But when Daedalus’s son falls in love with Minnie’s daughter, the star attraction, their passion and plans to escape threaten to bring it all crashing down.

TraniWreck has been on hiatus for an entire year, and we’re ready to bust it out for you! Come celebrate with Heywood, Johnny, Aporia, and other Aquarians at our birthday show! Heywood has been working hard on his saunter, and is ready and rarin’ to go! With a lineup that ranges from original cast members to brand new Wreckage recruits, as well as a montage of historic TraniWreck footage, this cast will leave you reeling from all the glitter and hilarity.

TraniWreck is the legendary, award winning, all gender, all genre variety cabaret show. A raucous rabble rousing exhibition of genderbending irreverence; Drag, Burlesque, Aerials and Performance Art. Since 2004 TraniWreck has been bringing the best over-the-top, boundary-busting talent to the stage.
