Yes indeed, folks, I am looking for an intern (or interns!) to help me take on the task of bringing my show to audiences nationwide, expanding minds around the world and becoming exponentially famous! Here’s what I’m looking for:
Local vaudevillian Johnny Blazes is looking for a fun, energetic intern with super-charged organizational skills and a love for radical queer art to help with the following tasks:
-Contacting venues and colleges to book performances

-Putting together press materials
-Contacting media in different cities
-Researching festivals and other performance opportunities
-Brainstorming and enacting PR and guerrilla marketing ideas
Requirements
-Basic computer skills, especially social networking tools like Facebook and Twitter
-Have a large network of friends who are enrolled in or work at colleges around the U.S.
-Good writing and verbal communication skills
-Excitement about the potential of performing arts for creating social change
-Your own laptop
It would be awesome if you…
-Have experience with website design and photoshop
-Have experience with booking, tour management, contacting media, public relations
5-15 hours per week, unpaid. College credit is up to you to organize, but I can work with you to figure out how to get credit. Interested applicants should contact Johnny.
